Referral Program

Referral Program Terms

The terms that apply when you refer a property owner to EzyFlats.

In effect from 3 August 2026.

§1Eligibility

The referral program is open to anyone who holds an EzyFlats account, whether as a landlord, property manager, or renter. You must have an active account to receive a referral link and to be paid a reward.

Paid EzyFlats staff and contractors are excluded from the program where introducing property owners already forms part of a referral fee or commission structure in their existing engagement with EzyFlats. This is to avoid paying twice for the same introduction.

§2One Reward Per Referred Owner

Only one referral reward is payable in respect of any individual property owner, regardless of how many EzyFlats members send us their details. Where more than one person refers the same owner, the reward is paid to whoever is recognised as the original referrer — generally whoever's referral link or details reached us first.

§3Qualification Rule

A referral qualifies for the $200 reward once all of the following have occurred:

  • The referred property owner has created a listing and received a confirmed booking.
  • Payment for that booking has been taken.
  • Seven days have passed since the tenant moved in.

If a referred owner's first booking is cancelled or does not proceed, the reward is not payable until they have a booking that meets all three conditions above.

§4Annual Cap

Each referrer may earn a maximum of 10 referral rewards per Australian financial year (1 July to 30 June). Referrals that would otherwise qualify beyond this cap in a given financial year are not paid, though they may be reconsidered once the cap resets at the start of the next financial year, subject to the program still being available at that time.

§5Tax and GST

Each $200 reward is inclusive of any GST payable. Recipients are responsible for determining and meeting their own tax obligations in relation to referral rewards received, including declaring the reward as income where required. EzyFlats does not provide tax advice.

§6Fraud and Abuse

EzyFlats may withhold, delay, reverse, or decline a referral reward where we reasonably suspect fraud, abuse, self-referral, fake accounts, or any attempt to manipulate the program — including referring a property owner you already control or have an undisclosed interest in.

§7Changes to the Program

EzyFlats may vary the terms of this program, including the reward amount, qualification rule, or annual cap, or end the program entirely, at any time. Where reasonably practicable we will give notice of material changes. Referrals that have already qualified under the terms in place at the time they qualified will still be honoured.
